Job Description
Our Canada based client; is both a manufacturer and distributor of paints and coatings solutions, is currently looking for permanent full time reliable associates to join and work in the paint containers filling stations/line, known as Fillers. This position will start as a temporary assignment with Armor People link and lead to a permanent hiring opportunity within 3-6 months after successfully meeting the hiring competencies.
Monday - Friday 2: 00 PM-10: 30 PM(paid lunches)
There is a $2/- COVID bonus applicable at the time of direct hire if the COVID bonus is present at that point
Duties/ Responsibilities of Filler: Production Worker
Operate Filling machines (Which includes automated line of paint filling containers, stacking the lids, adding labels to the containers and put the finished container on the box to build a skid)
Record filled product on an inventory sheet
Wash tanks and filling equipment
Use process equipment such as valves, pumps, scales and metres to operate and maintain the filling machines
Able to do basic troubleshooting of automated machines
Lifting 20 to 50 lbs
Keep the work area clean and safe of hazards
Other duties as assigned by the Lead hands/ supervisors or or management
Requirements:
Ability to work in an environment which includes standing, lifting, bending and walking for long hours
Attentive to details in a medium to high pace work environment
Basic mathematical, computer and problem-solving skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must be comfortable to work with solvents, pigments and resins (Non-toxic products)
Commitment to reach production schedule under tight deadlines
Adherence to company policies, values and health & safety procedures
Prior manufacturing industry experience would be an asset
Qualifications:
Ability to work in an environment which includes standing, lifting, bending and walking for long hours
Basic mathematical, computer and problem-solving skills
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Must be comfortable to work with solvents, pigments and resins (Non-toxic products)
Commitment to reach production schedule under tight deadlines
Adherence to company policies, values and health & safety procedures
