Job Description

Armor People Link is partnering with our client in hiring a dynamic and process oriented Assembly Technician to join their team in Pickering. Our client deals into manufacturing and distribution of Construction and Land scraping equipment.

Shift: 11:00 AM-7:30 PM
Compensation Package- $50K a year + benefits + pension 7% + max 14% bonus + vacation

What you'll be doing:
 Perform the assembly operations for tires and tractors; ensure oversee quality control of the tasks and support regular warehouse operations upon request.
 Onboard and train employees while ensuring a safe, secured and well-maintained working environment.
 Read and understand technical/schematic drawings, understand, and troubleshoot mechanical problems to assemble tractors and tires as per specification
 Rework and/or repair assembled devices and products according to engineering specification changes
 Consolidate and maintain production schedule up to date as well as close communication with Purchasing and Logistics for priorities management
 Identify operational improvements in areas such as assembly, inventory accuracy and warehouse operations
 Lead a culture of safety through personal example, ensure staff adhere to safety policies, involve people to be self-responsible of the policies application
Requirements:
What you bring to the table:
 A High school qualification or equivalent
 Electric Counterbalance certification required
 1-3 years of previous experience, in a warehouse environment, RF gun experience including WMS knowledge and logistics function within a fast-paced environment
 Capacity to use various assembly tools and crane
 Ability to lift up to 50 LBS
 Double vaccinated against Covid-19
 Must have own reliable vehicle as this location is not bus accessible
