Job Description
Our client is a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions with more than 300 locations in over 100 countries and multiple locations in GTA. Armor People Link is proud to be their chosen staffing partner.
Our client is a distributor of products such as protein bars& powder, energy drinks, baby food, vacuum products etc. These boxes weight between 15lbs to almost 50 lbs depending on the product. These positions can lead to full-time hiring with our client. Candidates with exceptional work ethics, attendance and performance can be given a hired-on opportunity with our client. Associate will be eligible for medical benefits upon hiring with our client.
Shifts:
Morning shift: 8am to 4: 30pm, pay rate: $18/hour to $19/hour + 4% vacation pay
Afternoon shift: 3: 30pm to 12pm, Pay rate: $18/hour to $19/hour + 4% vacation pay
Overtime will be paid after 44 hours
Duties: Forklift Operators ( Crown Reach machines, Crown order pickers and Counterbalance)
Safely operate the Crown order picker machines on a wire guarded narrow aisle warehouse
Operate Counterbalance machines if licensed
Order picking using WMS and scanner gun
Building and staging shipments
Stock put-away
Inventory maintenance/rotation
Load and unload trailers/containers as required
Actively communicate with supervisors and operators to effectively handle material and notify them of problems/concerns
Accurately document work performed
Assist in the efficient completion of inventory audits and quarterly cycle counting
Stack skids or pallets in designated areas.
Clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and place in proper containers or designated areas
General warehouse duties as assigned
Promote a clean, safe and positive work environment.
Maintain the facility's equipment
Requirements:
License to operate Crown Order picker and / or Crown Reach machines (More is better)
License to Operate Counterbalance machines
Minimum 1-2 years of work experience of operating crown order picker machines on wire guarded
Fall arrest training
Worker Health & Safety Awareness certificate (available online)
Clear criminal background check
Ability to commit to shift Monday through Friday with overtime and weekends as per the operational requirements
Qualifications:
Associate must be able to read, write and speak english language
Ability to follow safe workplace policies and procedures
Ability to operate a RF scanner gun for product scanning
Associate must have minimum of 1-2 years of Order picking experience with a forklift
Must have narrow aisle and wire guarded forklift operation experience with crown machines
Associates are required to be prompt and on-time
Associate must be comfortable working in a fast paced, productivity-focused environment
Associate must be comfortable with frequent bending, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs
