Job Description
Armor People Link is looking to hire material handler and forklift drivers for Brampton based client who manufacture Plastic food bags. Shipping assistants pull items to be shipped from the warehouse and prepare them for delivery. This includes creating shipping labels for all outgoing packages. Shipping assistants keep warehouse and work areas clean and organized. This includes breaking down boxes and removing trash. Shipper will be responsible to load and unload products to be shipped.
This is a rotating shift and the rotation is on a bi-weekly basis:
Morning Shift: 7 am-3:15pm- Pay rate - $18.00/hr
Afternoon Shift: 3pm- 11:15pm-Pay rate -$18.00 +$0.75 as afternoon shift premium
Night Shift: 11pm-7:15am-pay rate - $18.00 +$1.25 as night shift premium
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Recording every detail of the order, from packing items into containers to labeling them.
- Responsible to scan and sorting incoming and outgoing stock.
- Enters information onto computer & prints labels
- Makes boxes and retrieves pallets
- Lifts bundles of bags from conveyor and make them shipment ready
- Transfers bags into boxes and Loads boxes onto pallets.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time with frequent lifting and pulling
- Ability to lift bags and boxes (up to 20lbs) on a frequent basis
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs (with a partner) for bag drop tests
- Attention to detail
- Accuracy and precision and ability to read and follow work instructions.
- Ability to mulit-task
Requirements:
We are looking for a zestful candidate who is able to perform the duties of Shipper and warehouse associate diligently.
Skills Required:
- Ability to stand for long periods of time with frequent lifting and pulling
- Ability to lift bags and boxes (up to 20lbs) on a frequent basis
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs (with a partner) for bag drop tests
- Attention to detail
- Accuracy and precision and ability to read and follow work instructions.
- Ability to mulit-task and work a
Qualifications:
Selection Criteria:
An interview will be conducted by Armor consultant
Qualified candidates will be presented further to our client
Final interview and decision will be taken by our client for successful on-boarding of suitable candidates
Police clearance check
Double vaccination status is required
