Our client is a global logistics and freight forwarding company looking for Customer Service Agent- Ocean Department for their Mississauga location. The candidate will be responsible to provide customer service and administrative support. Candidates are required to be flexible between 7am to 7pm, client will provide a shift schedule based on candidate's experience as well as the Client/ Account they will be providing service to.

This is a long-term, ongoing position with excellent potential of becoming a permanent full-time job.

Shift: Monday to Friday (Flexibility required to work between any shift 7am to 7pm based on accounts management)
Rate: $20.00/hour + 4% vacation pay

Duties includes:
 Shipment Tracking and Tracing of Import Ocean shipments with strong attention to data entry/integrity & accuracy
 Rail Tracking
 Vessel Tracking
 Ensure that all work is completed per Expeditors Operational Process Standard (OPS) requirements.
 Complete all operational shipment event updates in line with Perfect Milestones Initiative and Ocean dashboard requirements
 Understand INCO Terms
 Work with ocean import customer service team for ongoing deskside training
 Complete scanning & indexing of all Original BL's prior to end of day
 Accounting tasks (eg. credit extensions) - where required
 e-mails are to be responded to in a timely manner. If an e-mail needs more research or time, then a message must be sent back to the sender keeping them updated.
 phones are to be picked up within the department.
 ensure that any special instructions or requirements on a shipment are communicated effectively.
 Creation of transportation work orders
 Creation of release notes to local CFS locations
 If any part of the above responsibilities cannot be completed, as stated above, it becomes the import agent's responsibility to advise and discuss this with their supervisor.
Experienced in Excel (pivot table/ charts/ v lookup/ etc.)
 Must have strong problem-solving skills
 Experienced in applying customer service skills
 Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
 Ability to commit to Full-time hours and flexibility to work a shift between the hours of 7am to 7pm
 Previous experience in customer facing roles is a strong asset
 Previous experience in Logistics, supply chain and warehouse accounts customer service is a must
