You will be assigned to a line handling plastic bags product to perform quality check and packaging. The ideal packer candidate will have machine operating experience, quality control and excellent attention to detail. Candidates who are looking for long term career will be only considered for this role.
Successful candidates will be given 6 months of training and will be hired on full-time upon meeting expectations.

Shifts and pay rate: Shifts will rotate every 2 weeks
Morning Shift: 7 am-3: 15pm; Pay rate: $18/hour + 4% vacation pay
Afternoon Shift: 3pm- 11: 15pm; Pay rate: $18.75/hour + 4%vacation pay
Night Shift: 11: 15pm-7: 15am' Pay rate: $19.25/hour + 4%vacation pay
Overtime will be paid after 40 hours
Duties/Responsibilities: Machine Operator and Packer
Discusses with Shift Supervisor priorities, deadlines and machine assignments
Discusses with Set Up Operator any machine issues
Oversees machine operation & makes minor adjustments as needed
Enters information on to computer & prints labels
Makes boxes
Retrieves pallets
Lifts bags from the conveyor, perform quality check and stack bags on to skid
Inspects bags for defects and perform a quality test on bags
Requirements:
Skills/Abilities: Machine Operator and Packer
Ability to pass the police clearance check
Ability to work rotating shifts, shifts will change every two weeks from days to afternoon to nights
Morning Shift: 7 am-3: 15pm
Afternoon Shift: 3pm- 11: 15pm
Night Shift: 11: 15pm-7: 15am
Ability to multi-task
Ability to read, write, and understand English information/instructions
Clear verbal communication
Can lift up to 50 lbs unaided
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Good organizational and prioritization skills
Qualifications:
Education/Experience: Machine Operator and Packer
Completion of high school diploma
Good written and verbal communication skills
Completion of high school diploma
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of basic machine operation
Prior work experience in a manufacturing industry
Prior work experience of working different shifts preferably experience with nights
Selection Criteria:
Candidate will be required to complete a client specific test for qualification review
An interview will be conducted by Armor consultant
Qualified candidates will be presented further to our client
Final interview and decision will be taken by our client for successful on-boarding of suitable candidates
Police clearance check and reference check will be conducted
