Job Description

Our Vaughan based client is a food/cheese manufacturing plant, our client promotes Health and safety, good hygiene, Goods manufacturing policies thoroughly without any exceptions. It is a cheese packaging plant (cheese, 85% pre-packaged product that is required to repack, 15% fresh made on-site product, to package and pack). Manufacturing unit is sectioned into three areas: Processing, Production and Packaging. Associates must be flexible to work in any area but most of the time they will be required to work in their designated departments.

Paneer operator: Filing and weighing Paneer cheese molds, as well as other tasks related to the operation of the Paneer manufacturing line

Major Intersection: Keele and Riveremede Road, Vaughan
Shift time: AM shift - 8am to 4pm
PM shift: 3pm to 12am (mid-night)
(Flexibility to work either shift based on advance notice is expected and required for this position, however associates will be assigned to either AM or PM)
Pay rate: $15.50/hour + 4% Vacation pay

Selection Criteria: Client will review resume and make their decision of selection and on-boarding. Associates will be on Armor payroll for 3 to 6 months until our client makes a decision of hiring based on associate's work ethics and performance.

Hiring Benefits: Associate will be eligible for our client's health benefits after 3 months on our client's payroll and eligible for company matched pension after 1 year.
Requirements:
 Associates needs to be physically able to stand for long periods of time, walk around often, often light items weighing up to 7-8kg, and sometimes items weighing up to 22kg
 Strong mathematical aptitude: when they are filing and weighing the molds, they must calculate how much to put in, etc
 Strong communication skills (verbal, written)
 Associate need to show some technical skills/ mechanical aptitude: in the future they would be considered for full machine operation duties
 Associate should have demonstrated some technical skills in their past work experience - i.e. some type of machine operation, experience with setup and troubleshooting on machines, etc
 Associate must be interested and available for long term work (regular, full time work); and of course also interested and available to work directly for us after their agency assignment with us
 Associate should have demonstrated in their past work experience that they are capable of staying with one company for a long period of time (at least a number of years with one employer)
 Shift availability: must be flexible to work on any of our production shifts (most of the shifts are on days or afternoons)
 Associate must have a strong health and safety focus, and food safety focus
 Demonstrated strong adherence to health and safety rules, food hygiene rules (GMPs)
 Associate should have some experience working with food hygiene/ GMP rules
 Strong time management abilities - able to prioritize tasks, able to multi-task; so that they can keep up with production demands
 Ability to work at a fast pace
 Ability and interest in showing initiative to learn other tasks: in order to qualify as a full machine operator in the future, they will need to learn how to perform all of the functions of the Paneer operation
Qualifications:
 Flexibility to work Morning or Afternoon shift when required
 Must have CSA approved safety shoes
 Must have an intention and willingness for long-term commitment
 Legally eligible to work full-time hours
 Prior exposure to manufacturing, machine operation is an asset
