Job Description

Our client in the plastic industry is currently looking for Printing Press Operator/ Helpers . This position provides an excellent opportunity to grow and build a career in the plastics industry. An ideal candidate possess some exposure working within a manufacturing facility, exposure to work with solvents & chemicals, a great attitude, willingness to learn and confidence working with basic machines is also valued. The candidate also MUST be available to work on a bi-weekly rotating shift schedule.

Successful candidates will be given 6 months of training and will be hired on full-time upon meeting expectations. This client offers excellent benefits to candidates hired on full-time and an ongoing career path in the company.

· Read docket to check job specifications
· Assist operator with Press machine
· Loads rolls of film onto Press machines
· Moves skids and rolls using lifting equipment
· Prepares glue for the machine by dispensing glues and solvents
· Adheres to all safety related procedures

Shifts and pay rate: Shifts will rotate every 2 weeks
1. Morning Shift: 7 am-3: 15pm; Pay rate: $20 /-+ 4% vacation pay
2. Afternoon Shift: 3pm- 11: 15pm; Pay rate: $20.75/- + 4% vacation pay
3. Night Shift: 11: 15pm-7: 15am; Pay rate: $21.25/- + 4% vacation pay

Over time will be paid after 40 hours
 Ability to pass the police clearance check
 Ability to work rotating shifts, shifts will change every two weeks from days to afternoon to nights
1. Morning Shift: 7 am-3: 15pm
2. Afternoon Shift: 3pm- 11: 15pm
3. Night Shift: 11: 15pm-7: 15am

 Ability to multi-task
 Ability to read, write, and understand English information/instructions
 Clear verbal communication
 Can lift up to 50 lbs unaided
 Ability to work with minimal supervision
 Good organizational and prioritization skills

Work Environment/Conditions:
 · Noisy environment
 · Exposure to solvents and glues
 · Adheres to Health and Safety rules including personal protective equipment
 Completion of high school diploma
 Basic computer skills, experience with MS Word and Excel is an asset
 Prior work experience in a manufacturing industry
 Prior work experience of working different shifts preferably experience with nights
 Exposure to solvents such as dye's, glues and chemicals

Selection Criteria:
 Candidate will be required to complete a client specific test for qualification review
 An interview will be conducted by Armor consultant
 Qualified candidates will be presented further to our client
 Final interview and decision will be taken by our client for successful on-boarding of suitable candidates Police clearance check and reference check will be conducted
