Job Description

Our Canada based client; is both a manufacturer and distributor of paints and coatings solutions, is currently looking for for a full-time process operator (Paint mixer). This position will start as a temporary assignment with Armor People link and lead to a permanent hiring opportunity within 3-6 months after successfully meeting the hiring competencies.

Ideal candidate has prior work experience in the manufacturing setup, prior machine operator or machine handling experience, physical dexterity to handle lifting of 25 kg bags to make/ mix batches, availability to take any schedule to start with afternoon shifts and long-term commitment to the job.

Pay rate: $18/hour to $21/hour (TBD)

Shift timings: straight 10 hours (paid breaks)
Monday to Thursday - 12: 00 PM-10: 00 PM with flexibility to accept any given schedule including Rotating shifts

There is a $2/- COVID bonus applicable at the time of direct hire if the COVID bonus is present at that point

Duties/ Responsibilities of Filler:
 Pick raw materials bags for batches from the warehouse and racking
 Batches are made every 2-3 hours, Lifting bags of 25KG (approximately 20 bags per batch) into a mix tank every 2-3 hours. The rest of the materials are added using equipment such as forklift or conveyor.
 2-3 times per month additional batches to be made - adding ingredients into a tank from drums, totes and pails and mixing to desired consistency
 Batches can get dusty flour like dust
Requirements:
 Some one coming from the manufacturing industry background Valid counterbalance forklift license is an asset, can be trained in-house
 Counterbalance forklift license is an asset
 Ability to work in an environment which includes standing, lifting, bending and walking for long hours
 Basic mathematical, computer, measurement and problem-solving skills
 Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly for batch making process
 Good communication and interpersonal skills
 Must be comfortable to work with solvents, pigments and resins (Non-toxic products)
 Adherence to company policies, values and health & safety procedures

 An interview will be conducted by Armor consultant
 Qualified candidates will be presented further to our client
 Final interview and decision will be taken by our client for successful on-boarding of suitable candidates. Police clearance check will be conducted
