Job Description
Our client is a national retailor of Babies and Toys products. This is an ideal warehouse work environment.
We are recruiting for all shifts (Days, afternoon and Nights). More that 50 positions available in the departments of Picking, packing, shipping, receiving and order fulfillment.
VARIOUS POSITIONS AVAILABLE FOR DAYS, AFTERNOON AND NIGHTS
Shift time and pay rate:
Morning shift: Start time 7am to 3:30 pm
Afternoon shift: 4:00pm to 11:30pm
Benefits:
Pay rate: $17/hour + 4% vacation pay
Over-time after 44 hours
Weekend work available at times to gain extra hours
One or more duties will be involved from below:
Ability to lift up to 25 kg consistently (55 lbs)
Ability to read/write English
Ability to use RF technology
Ability to use cutting tools (knife)
Ability to operate manual pallet jacks (pump trucks)
Sort and putaway stock using RF guns
Working conditions
- physical demands include significant lifting up to 50lbs, carrying, pushing and/or pulling
- Working conditions could be Dusty and noisy
- Repetitive Action includes lifting, balancing, stooping, kneeling and crouching
- Will be using a pump truck
Requirements:
Knowledge and skills
- Ability to lift various weighted objects/products up to 50lbs
- Basic math required to check orders and make basic calculations
- RF Scanner experience
- Able to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Some math and reading & writing skills needed for use of the scanner and data entry
- Able to stand and walk to 8 hours/prolonged periods
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Must be reliable and punctual
- Ability to work in a fast pace work environment
Qualifications:
- Must have CSA approved safety shoes
- Eligibility to work Monday through Friday and some weekend Over-time if required
- Ability to adhere Health and safety policies and procedures
- Ability to perform physical demands include significant lifting up to 50lbs, carrying, pushing and/or pulling
- Ability to follow COVID Guidelines
