Job Description
Our client is a global leader in logistics and supply chain solutions with more than 300 locations in over 100 countries. Armor People Link is proud to be their chosen staffing partner. We are recruiting for warehouse General labour Pickers and packers for their distribution facility located in Mississauga at Britannia Road west and Errin Mills Parkway
Location: Britannia Rd West & Erin Mills Pkwy in Mississauga
Shift: 8am to 4:30pm
Pay rate: $17/hour + 4% vacation pay ( $15 + $2 location premium)
Overtime will be paid after 44 hours
Pay is paid on weekly basis
Some of the General Labour: Warehouse general order pickers and packers
Job responsibilities include but not limited to are below:
Product Handling (products can vary between different weight, sizes and shapes)
Responsible for order picking (RF Scanning); sorting, picking, packaging, labeling, auditing, quality inspection.
Prepare orders by picking, packing, wrapping and labeling product
Maintain service quality by following organizations standards
Some positions require computer literacy to train and operate WMS and Purolator software's for shipping out the products
Ensure that customer service targets and goals are successfully met
Ensure the company's Health and Safety and Operational efficiencies are met
General warehouse duties as assigned
Actively communicate with supervisors and operators to effectively handle material and notify them of problems/concerns
Stack skids or pallets in designated areas.
Clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and place in proper containers or designated areas
Additional work as expected
Promote a clean, safe and positive work environment.
Requirements:
Associate must be able to read, write and speak english language
Ability to work Monday through Friday and some weekend as per the client over-time requirements
Must be legally eligible to work full-time minimum 40 hours on legal credentials
Ability to pass the Background check
- Physical ability to bend, kneel and constant walking/standing through out the shift
Qualifications:
Ability to follow safe workplace policies and procedures
Ability to operate a RF scanner gun for product scanning
Associate with minimum of 6 months of warehouse experience is an asset
CSA approved steel-toed safety boots are required on site
Associates are required to be prompt and on-time
Associate must be comfortable working in a fast paced, productivity-focused environment
Associate must be comfortable with frequent bending, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs
