Here is the Job Summary:
We are currently recruiting for a Walkie Forklift Operator for our Mississauga based client. This is a long-term, ongoing position and drivers with exceptional work ethics, attendance and performance can be given a hired-on opportunity with our client.
What a typical day looks like?
Forklift driver would be responsible for operating Walkie Machine based on daily/weekly operational requirements Walkie Operator with an ability to operate in narrow aisles warehouse work environment, also able to perform General labor duties such as hand bombing, moving products, Loading offloading,
The driver is also responsible for helping to unload the Purolator trailer which is breakdown as it is being unloaded, Palletizing returns, wrapping pallets with a pallet wrapper. As well as act as a GL during the times that driving is not needed. Associate will be required to use a motorized hand held pump truck to assist with GL work.
Work Breakdown:
Forklift: about 50% of the day
General help: 50% of the day

Order picking /Shipping receiving using WMS and Walkie
Building and staging shipments by using crown pump truck machine
Stock put-away
Inventory maintenance/rotation
Load and unload trailers/containers as required
General warehouse duties as assigned
Actively communicate with supervisors and operators to effectively handle material and notify them of problems/concerns
Accurately document work performed
Assist in the efficient completion of inventory audits
Stack skids or pallets in designated areas.
Clean up and dispose of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping and place in proper containers or designated areas
Sign applicable driver documentation
Requirements:
What are we looking for:
- Must have valid Forklift license to operate Walkie
- Must have 1 year valid experience on Walkie
- Ability to pass the Background check
- Associate must be comfortable working in a fast paced, productivity-focused environment
- Associate must be comfortable with frequent bending, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in any given department
